General Information

In 2004 AMTS STD has spread its activity on aluminum. The main target was to develop non-chromate chemical treatment with high bare corrosion resistance. The target was established by development of AMTS-S-0610/11 surface treatment for aluminum. This treatment was already tested in electronic industry as an environmental friendly replacement for chromate conversion coating (Mil-Std-5541 Class 3) on several aluminum alloys. The treatment is based on OXSILAN® Technology.

Technical descriptions

AMTS-S-0610/11 AMTS-S-0610/11 is a newer silan based treatment for aluminum and its alloys with high bare corrosion resistance.The treatment produces a chrome-free non-metallic conductive coating. It offers excellent corrosion resistance for electronic applications and also can be used as a pretreatment for paint and powder coating. AMTS-S-0610/11 coatings are transparent for electromagnetic waves. The coating can be produced according the following specifications: Class 1: for maximum corrosion protection; Class 3: for the best balance between corrosion protection and electrical conductivity. AMTS-S-0609 AMTS-S-0609 is a liquid, multi-purpose, non-chromate paint pre-treatment for aluminum and copper alloys. It is formulated to enhance the performance of most paint systems, mainly with powder coating.
